Sisters. They love. They fight. They challenge. They hope. They dream. They wait. One sunny afternoon they found the men they were looking for; those who served in King David’s army. That day changed all their lives. Especially Chavi’s. She was the firstborn. She was responsible for her younger sisters. They followed her lead. She didn’t set a good example. Promises were not kept, bitterness took hold, and now they had to return to their father’s tents where he was waiting for good news. He would have to wait. They were all waiting.

It was 1968 and the small Midwestern town was developing into the suburban neighborhood they would come to call home. Five young, curious boys who explored the woods surrounding their houses became friends for life, especially after they discovered a stranger in their woods. After that day, their lives would never be the same. Charlie. He was a mystery and without them realizing it, they became his disciples.

This story takes place in my hometown of Danville, Illinois.  To the readers, this is a fictional novel, however, the book does contain names of places that did exist and which I have fond memories.

I got Charlie's Unlikely Disciples and I'm loving reading it!!! I have fought back tears sooooo many times. I only have about 20 pages left but I flew through reading it so I'm going to read it again and enjoy the morsels I had to have missed from speed reading it the first time. Thank you for writing this story!

This story brought back a lot of memories of a simpler time (Baby Boomers) and I enjoyed imagining all the characters, especially Charlie.

I really enjoyed the book. It took me back to simpler times and teenage memories. Certain parts of it really moved me, especially the last few chapters.

Welcome to my world of thoughts, books, poems, and personal stories.

I've always had an inquisitive mind and have driven some friends crazy thinking about things that are not written down.  This led to my first book Selah, a fictional novel based on biblical history, namely Malchus. Simon followed and then Stone, Scout and Sofie which make up the Selah Series.

My passion is writing and my prayer is the words I pen whether a short story, poem or novel will touch hearts and draw people to Jesus.

My kickstart to finally getting serious about writing began with an Easter play I wrote for my local church called "The Bus Stop".

I grew up in the small mid-western town of Danville, Illinois. I moved to Tucson, Arizona and then to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and the Sunshine State has been home for over 40 years.

I also play violin and enjoyed many years serving on worship teams. Let me take this opportunity to encourage all creative people; the songwriters, musicians, artists, painters, actors, dancers  photographers, etc. to stir up the gifts placed within you for His kingdom!

On a personal note, I love hunting for sea glass at the beach, I collect turtles and can watch nature all day long.
